Hello there dear one!

As you may know, on January 7th a fire destroyed the Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles - my beloved town of the past five years.

I was halfway around the world when the fire started.

It was heartbreaking to watch the fire map as it consumed the entirety of all the places I loved so deeply, and as I watched the fire surround my own neighborhood.

By a miracle, my home survived the flames,

but it did not survive the smoke damage.

I was very very blessed to be able to visit home and retrieve valuables and meaningful possessions, though the rest of my belongings need to be discarded due to toxic contamination. Along with my furniture and belongings, my car is also damaged beyond repair from the smoke.

The estimated timeline for when we can move back is 2 years.

I believe that life is always working out for us, even when it happens in intense ways like this. And I deeply trust that there is a new chapter on the horizon, one that is far greater than I could ever imagine.
